政策声明

Customers may transport non‐机动化的 and 机动化的 bicycles and stand‐up scooters 关于RTD收益车辆 (buses, 轻轨车辆, 以及通勤铁路车辆)在没有许可证的情况下随时随地, pursuant to the vehicle-specific requirements set forth in this policy and so long as:

  • The bicycle or stand‐up scooter does not block doors, aisles, or emergency exits on trains

    • The full size of bicycles and stand‐up scooters may not exceed 80 inches in length or 40 inches in height
    • Motorized bicycles and stand‐up scooters must be electric with a sealed battery compartment and without damage

    • The bicycles and stand‐up scooters are not rented or a component of a dock less system

RTD is not responsible for lost or stolen bicycles and scooters or for damage to bicycles and scooters due to improper loading.

Customers with disabilities who use a stand‐up scooter as a mobility device that would not otherwise be permitted under this policy may request a reasonable modification from the requirements of this policy pursuant to RTD’s Reasonable Modification Policy and Reasonable Modification Procedure.

The purpose of this policy is to address how customers may transport non‐机动化的, 机动化的, 还有自行车和立式滑板车, 关于RTD收益车辆.

This policy applies to bicycles and stand‐up scooters transported on light rail and commuter rail trains and buses. This policy does not apply to Access‐a‐Ride vehicles and does not cover use of 机动化的 wheelchairs or seated scooters 关于RTD收益车辆.

责任

Bicycles and stand‐up scooters are permitted on light rail and commuter rail vehicles as set forth below. 铁路运营 is responsible for training its personnel and posting signage on rail cars regarding the following requirements:

轻轨

  • Customers must load bicycles and stand‐up scooters at the front or rear entrance of the rail car
  • Bicycles and stand‐up scooters are never permitted in the front of the first rail car or behind the train operator, 除了用作移动工具的滑板车 that are loaded from the highblock and stationed in the wheelchair area
  • Customers may not load bicycles or stand‐up scooters onto the vehicle from the highblock, 除了用作移动工具的滑板车
  • Customers with bicycles or stand‐up scooters must allow other customers to exit or board the vehicle before loading the bicycle or stand‐up scooter and must always keep the doorway clear
  • Bicycles and stand‐up scooters inside the vehicle must not interfere with the vehicle operation or the free movement of customers; they must be positioned so that they do not block the aisle or create a safety hazard
  • 骑自行车或站立式滑板车的顾客必须始终带着他们的设备

  • Customers must load bicycles and stand‐up scooters at the appropriate area of the vehicle
  • Customers with bicycles or stand‐up scooters must allow other customers to exit or board the vehicle before loading the bicycle or stand‐up scooter
  • Customers must stow their bicycle in the large multi‐purpose cargo storage area, 如果空间允许的话, 或者放在垂直的自行车收纳架上, 用提供的弹性带和棘轮带固定自行车
  • Bicycles and stand‐up scooters inside the vehicle must not interfere with the vehicle operation or the free movement of customers; they must be positioned so that they do not block the aisle or create a safety hazard

公共汽车

Bicycles of any type are not permitted inside buses except for luggage storage bins (when available). Bicycles may be transported and stored on the bicycle racks on the front of the bus on a first come, 先到先得原则,但须符合下列条件:

  • Bicycle racks can hold adult and child bicycles and can accommodate tires up to 2.3英寸宽

Stand‐up scooters are permitted inside buses subject to the following requirements:

  • Operators will not permit customers to fold up the securement area seats to make room for stand‐up scooters, 除了用作移动工具的滑板车; these areas are reserved for customers using mobility aids that require securement
  • Stand‐up scooters on the bus must not interfere with the vehicle operation or the free movement of customers; they must be positioned so that they do not block the aisle or create a safety hazard
  • 公共汽车内的站立式滑板车必须易于移动, and customers must comply with requests to move them or to de‐board the bus if the bus becomes full
  • Stand‐up scooters are permitted on the Free MetroRide in the large space area as space allows; they must not interfere with the free movement of customers and are not permitted in the securement area

铁路运营, Bus Operations and Police and Emergency Management are responsible for enforcement of this policy.
